First off, an introduction to The Mongoloids. The Mongoloids are a band from New Jersey, with a few releases under their belt. Straight edge bands are not entirely uncommon in the hardcore scene they play in, especially for crossover/thrash bands. However, a major factor in what sets them apart from the others is their bouncy, and almost groovy sound they have, especially on this recording; which, compared to others is incredibly uncommon, given that most "groovy" hardcore bands are typically not the drug-free ones.
Mostly mid-paced songs with plenty of groove and a vocalist that actually tries to sing rather a la Sheer Terror’s Paul Bearer.
