I received the 'New Handel's Young Messiah' CD as a gift and was disappointed as it just doesn't have the quality, the guts, the heart, the spirit and the fantastic orchestration of this version. I have been looking for this Album at a reasonable price for years. I had one of the original Cassette Tapes of this amazing work second only to Handels original score. The reoccurring takes on the Young Messiah were good but nothing like this album. It cost a considerable amount more than it did in 1990 which I attribute to its genius.
