Before I press play: Kinda weird that Old Town Road is on the album twice. Also why is the remix first but the original last. Schlagenheim is the highly anticipated debut album by Black Midi, a math rock band hailing from Croydon, London (which I was actually born in btw). Their hype has mostly been generated through their live performances uploaded on to the internet, making them already gain somewhat of a cult following. Now, what I will say is that while I was still very much on the Black Midi hype train, I can't say I was extremely impressed by their previous singles, at least not as much as the hardcore fans,.
GRKZGL - VARIATIONS by NO EXP, released 07 March 2015 1. A 2. B After years of recording and performing in the abstract electronics & experimental noise scene, GRKZGL returns to a more rhythmic form with VARIATIONS, the inaugural release on NO EXP. Best Opeth Album, best metal album, best of all! 1. Blackwater Park 2. Ghost Reveries 3. Still Life 4. Watershed 5. Deliverance 6. My Arms Your Hearse 7. Damnation 8. Pale Communion 9. Sorceress 10. Morningrise 11. Heritage - BekoT. Blackwater Park is just too dark and miserable to be Opeth’s best album. For me, Orchid and Morningrise represent Opeth at its best because, in these albums, the death metal sound, rather than coming out as a brutal onslaught of the senses, appears like a harmonious stream, balanced by beautiful classical guitar sections.
