Randall Herman Meisner (born March 8, 1946) is a retired American musician, singer, songwriter and founding member of the Eagles. Throughout his professional musical career, Meisner's main role was that of bassist and backing high-harmony vocalist as both a group member and session musician. He co-wrote the Eagles hit song "Take It to the Limit", which he also sang.

Randy Meisner is the self-titled debut solo studio album by Randy Meisner. It was released in mid 1978, on Asylum in the United States, and in the United Kingdom. The track "Bad Man", was featured in the film FM, which also included an appearance by his one-time employer Linda Ronstadt.

From: 'Randy Meisner' (1978). A heartfelt song of romantic confusion, "Daughter of the Sky" reanimates the gentle shyness of Meisner's earliest Eagles songs – pointing the way for what could have been a successful solo career. But Meisner never took to the spotlight, instead spending much of the era before his retirement working as a sideman. From: 'Eagles' (1972). This final track on the Eagles' country-tinged debut album does more than hint at where they'd eventually land toward the end of Meisner's tenure. Tryin'" - with its rumbling hook, eruptive guitar and brief closing vocal reference to the Rolling Stones' "You Can’t Always Get What You Want" - was a palette-clearing blast of harder-edged rock.

Randy Meisner's second self-titled album, usually referred to as Randy Meisner (1982) to distinguish it from its 1978 predecessor, is a gorgeous country-rock production with a hard electric edge in all the right places and soaring melodies throughout - all worthy of a founding member of Poco and an original member of the Eagles. The guest players include Heart's Ann Wilson on one duet vocal and Nancy Wilson on backing vocals elsewhere, and the Tower of Power horns.

Randy Meisner is the third solo studio album (and the second self-titled) by Randy Meisner. It was released in mid 1982, on Epic in the United States, and in the United Kingdom. It is to-date Meisner's final solo album of original material. The album features a duet with Heart's lead vocalist, Ann Wilson.
