It’s such a bittersweet feeling when you discover an obscure album from a forgotten band. On the one hand, it’s sweet because there’s something out there that has been flying under the radar for a long time and you finally found it, which often creates an emotional bond. But it’s bitter because someone talented enough to create really good music didn’t manage to reach a wider audience due to a number of reasons. Ashbury’s debut is exactly that case of an album where it should have been much more popular because its musical content is too good to go unnoticed.

Endless Skies" and "Something Funny Going On". I believe the 2nd one was released in 2004 and then reissued in 2010. Did we listen to the same Endless Skies? I think this album is amazing through and through.

Ashbury are essentially a duo although the band has had more members from time to time. The band was formed in 1980 in Tucson, Arizona, by Randy and Rob Davis. Together with drummer Dave Carpenter, guitarist Lee Smith, and bassist Noal Morris, they released the album "Endless Skies" in 1983. The band's sound is like a mix of Wishbone Ash and 70's southern rock, with some slight touches of epic metal. Enjoy! TRACKLIST - 01. The Warning 02. Take Your Love Away 03. Twilight 04.
