Jimmy Salvemini should have been the next big thing in a string of successes from the show that included Sam Harris, Sawyer Brown, Rosie O’Donnell, Sinbad, and Brad Garrett. Elektra quietly released Jimmy’s debut album in the summer of 1986, hoping to at least gain the 16 year old some exposure. But wisely, the company decided not to pursue marketing on it. It’s a shame because it was a such a FANTASTIC album.

Jimmy Salvemini: Does that name sound Familiar? If it does maybe it's because a big part of his story is currently featured in the first biography written about the Grammy Award winning Luther Vandross. Upon the request of Vandross, Jimmy conveyed a heart felt performance which ignited Luther to set aside all projects to write and produce his new protege's debut album
