The Autumn Defense - There Will Always Be A Wa. Once Around is the group's fourth full length album and finds the band's steady, creative ease percolating directly into its music. The album's tracks are plaintive but don't pander and their melodies unfurl effortlessly while also unmistakably setting the hook, not to be easily shaken. Stirratt and Sansone mine 70s AM gold and drape it in their decidedly modern sensibilities, resulting in an album that is fresh yet decidedly familiar. A bit of musical deja vu, Once Around is the thinking man's easy listening

Once Around is an album released November 2, 2010 by The Autumn Defense. It is the band's fourth full-length release. Back of My Mind (Sansone) - 3:12. Allow Me (Stirratt/Sansone) - 4:21. Tell Me What You Want (Sansone) - 5:26. Huntington Fair (Stirratt/Sansone) - 3:38. Once Around (Sansone) - 6:29. The Rift (Stirratt) - 3:07. The Swallows of London Town (Sansone) - 3:26. Step Easy (Stirratt) - 2:59. Don't Know (Sansone) - 3:57. Every Day (Sansone) - 3:37.

The Autumn Defense - Wilco’s John Stirratt and Patrick Sansone and an ever changing guestlist – play music that's strong in melody, tight in performance and sweet on the ear. Their music is often likened to the soothing tones of the early-‘70s lite-rock movement and there is certainly more than a little taste of Bread and Badfinger influences here. However, there is nothing retro about their approach. Harmonies and tunes are timeless and the Autumn Defense tap into that spring of eternal joy. Back of My Mind reaches for sublime falsetto harmonies. Allow Me slowly lopes with a lilting.

The Autumn Defense's self-titled third album, released in 2007, sounded as if it could have been the best West Coast soft rock album of 1970. By contrast, the group's fourth LP, Once Around, would have bubbled under the Top Ten for 1971; it's still the product of a pair of very gifted musicians with plenty of worthwhile ideas, but it's never as strong and compelling a piece of work.

This song is by The Autumn Defense and appears on the album Once Around (2010). Standing in the cold winter sunLooking aroundAnother ending's begunLook what I found. That all of the world that I see is a dreamWhere nothing means anythingTurn my face to the groundAnd watch it turn once around. Snow covering everyoneAnd all of the townNowhere to be, nowhere to runListen to the sound.

Fifth (The Autumn Defense album). Fifth is the fifth studio album by American indie band The Autumn Defense. It was released in January 2014 under Yep Roc Records. John Stiratt - lead and backing vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keyboards. Greg Wizcorek - drums, percussion. James Haggerty - bass.

Finally, The Autumn Defense is taking risks. While Once Around is less consistent than past records, that ends up being a very good thing because the music feels much more adventurous and satisfying. With an album like this, The Autumn Defense finally gets to peek from under the shadow that has been cast over them from parallel years in that other band.
