Home is The Corrs' fifth studio album. An Irish-themed album, it includes covers of old Irish songs and traditionals, but also covers of non-Irish songs such as "Heart Like A Wheel". It includes two tracks in Irish, "Buachaill Ón Éirne" and "Bríd Óg Ní Mháille"; and three instrumentals, "Old Hag (You Killed Me)", "Haste To The Wedding", and "Return From Fingal". Home was compiled from a songbook of the late Jean Corr (their mother).

Home also has a shade of the artiness that has marked Froom's past productions - he doesn't simply let the music breathe, he has it paint soundscapes - without getting overwhelmed with trickery. He lets the Corrs takes center stage and they've never sounded better than they do here, due both to the recording and the excellent song selection

The Corrs - Home (2005). The Corrs back to what they do best. putting a modern slant on old Irish tunes. Not so overproduced as one or two of their previous albums and better for having a more stripped back sound.

The Corrs' next album, 1997's Talk on Corners, was produced by Glen Ballard, who was respected for his collaboration with Alanis Morissette. The Corrs also collaborated with Carole Bayer Sager, Oliver Leiber, Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg. The album met with lukewarm response. It was successful in Ireland and entered the Australian album charts at number . .Borrowed Heaven placed heavier emphasis on guitars, while retaining the original folk rock genre. Home is a traditional Irish album, where the band covered many traditional Irish songs. The album contained songs from different eras of Irish music, including a 1982 song written by Phil Lynott ("Old Town") while the 1,000-year-old "Return.

The Corrs' first studio album, Forgiven, Not Forgotten (released via Lava/Atlantic Records in America), became internationally popular, but nowhere more so than in their homeland, where the LP's four-times-platinum status made it one of the most popular debuts by an Irish group. Talk on Corners followed in 1997 and was reissued in expanded form early the following year. The album was instrumental in launching the band's star status in the . where it spawned four Top Ten singles and became the best-selling record of 1998. Although popular in the Corrs' homeland, Home's traditional sound did not fare well in other countries. In 2006, the band went on indefinite hiatus. In conjunction, they released All the Way Home: A History of the Corrs, which tracked the band's story, and Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection, one of many compilation albums in the band's catalog.
