Super Hits is a 1970 compilation album released by American soul singer Marvin Gaye on the Tamla label. It compiles Gaye's string of pop-R&B songs he recorded during 1962 to 1969. Music critic Robert Christgau viewed Super Hits as the best album released by Motown and later included it in "A Basic Record Library" of 1950s and 1960s recordings, published in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies (1981).

The Temptations may not have hit as many high spots as some of the others but, song for song, their first Greatest Hits album is more consistently enjoyable than any of the others. David Ruffin managed to make every performance memorable in some respect. Like so many other of his admirers, I wish he were still singing with them today.
