Produced by Darius Zelkha. Album Golden Age of Radio. Golden Age of Radio Lyrics. Picture they took of you in your cowboy hat Makes you look like you are one of the boys Out on a Saturday night Meanwhile on the outskirts of the dance hall I’m a joke that you’d probably enjoy On the outside of Memphis, all the buildings look big And the white picket fences all dare to charge around
Golden Age of Radio Josh Ritter. See All. Sermon on the Rocks.
The old-time radio era, sometimes referred to as the Golden Age of Radio, was an era of radio programming in the United States during which radio was the dominant electronic home entertainment medium. It began with the birth of commercial radio broadcasting in the early 1920s and lasted through the 1940s, when television gradually superseded radio as the medium of choice for scripted programming, variety and dramatic shows.
Redirected from Golden Age of Radio (Album)). Golden Age of Radio is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Josh Ritter. It was Ritter's first album to be released nationally after he was signed to Signature Sounds.
Ritter's second disc (and first nationally released album), Golden Age of Radio, makes it clear that his sudden success is well deserved, and based on genuine talent.

Josh Ritter's first catalog re-issue! His 2001 recording Golden Age Of Radio has been drastically improved. The album now includes a BONUS cd, featuring Josh performing the ENTIRE ALBUM solo acoustic, plus b-sides and videos. Fans of Josh treasure the acoustic versions of his songs because they often provide a vastly different perspective on the music. But in 2009, only National Public Radio or a dedicated folkie type of show would be picking the good stuff off of Ritter's "Golden Age Of Radio.
