Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols is the only studio album by English punk rock band the Sex Pistols, released on 28 October 1977 by Virgin Records. The album has influenced many bands and musicians, and the industry in general. In particular, the album's raw energy, and Johnny Rotten's sneering delivery and "half-singing", are often considered game-changing. It is frequently listed as the most influential punk album, and one of the most important albums of all time.

Never Mind the Bollocks is simply one of the greatest, most inspiring rock records of all time. On that front, I respect Never Mind the Bollocks. On the other hand, though, this album WAS the reason why punk rock has always been considered fuckthesystemcore. It definitely ages worse over time. I used to love this thing, but now?

Which was already on the streets, with a printed sleeve reading : . includes the unreleased Sub-mission track. Perhaps the apogee of the 1970's punk movement; Nevermind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols is still a huge throbbing brain of an album. The lyrics excoriate while the bass, guitar and drums still defy appraisal.

But before we make the Sex Pistols and their cohorts into fish-and-chips Zapatas, and long before sainthood has set in on Johnny Rotten, we should remember that this band has more on its mind than being a rock & roll centerpiece for enlightened liberal discussion. First of all, they’re musicians, not philosophers, so they’re probably more interested in making the best possible mythopoeic loud noise than they are in any logical, inverted political scripture. While he’s ranting at England ( a fascist regime ) and the Queen ( She ain’t no human being ), he doesn’t exactly spare his own contingent: We’re so pretty, oh so pretty - we’re vacant - and we don’t care. Musically, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols is just about the most exciting rock & roll record of the Seventies.

The Sex Pistols one and only true studio album. The legendary ‘Never Mind the Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols’. Sex Pistols Number 1. Now considered one of the greatest albums of all time, the importance and power of ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ can not be disputed. There was nothing like it before (or since). The Sex Pistols were charged with the Indecent Advertising Act of 1889! Bollocks is a slang name for testicles; however, the Pistols’ lawyer proved that it was actually derived from a nickname for clergymen. The band were found reluctantly not guilty. Bollocks was legal! Due to (mis)management shenanigans against the record company ‘NMTB’ got its first release in France, via Barclay Records, shortly before it was due to be released in the UK by Virgin.

The Sex Pistols had already caused pandemonium with their debut single Anarchy in the UK, causing questions to be asked in Parliament and the national newspapers. The furore forced EMI and then A&M to dismiss them from their recording contract and the BBC to ban them from the airwaves. A record shop that sold the single was prosecuted for indecency. Listening to the record now, it is surprisingly good. Despite what you may have heard, they sure can play. Steve Jones guitar evokes Johnny Thunders of the New York Dolls. Paul Cook’s drumming keeps everything tight.

There’s no question that the Sex Pistols’ only studio album Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols is one of the best, most influential punk rock records of all time. And its influence didn’t end with punk. The album was also embraced by many members of the metal community and had an undeniable impact on the genre. Over the years, the Sex Pistols have been criticized by elitists as being an untalented batch of miscreants that Malcolm McLaren exploited for marketing purposes.

But, the Sex Pistols were always a different story. I'm not really a big fan of the band, but their album is the only punk album that I ever go back to. Yes, there are some songs that I skip, but, for the most part, it's a solid album. Let me take you through the tracks. Holidays in the Sun" is the opening track, and it does its job perfectly. It's beginning claps and drumming instantly got me bobbing my head, and the lyrics are some of the best written in the genre

This may be "Another Japanese version of remastered album released by Universal Music." but it is the best digital version of this album. It is better than the Blu-ray Audio (24bit 96kHz) version. It is a single layer SHM SACD but if you have an SACD player I would highly recommend it.
