The Raccoons Theme Song Run With Us Music Video.

Run With Us. Lisa Lougheed. Album Evergreen Nights. When darkness falls Leaving shadows in the night Don't be afraid Wipe that fear from your eyes If a desperate love Keeps on driving you wrong Don't be afraid You're not alone

Run With Us" is the end theme song for the 1980s television series The Raccoons. It was written by Kevin Gillis, Jon Stroll and Steve Lunt. The song was originally recorded by Steve Lunt for the first season in 1985 but was later covered by and is more associated with Lisa Lougheed and included on her first album Evergreen Nights, as well as being heard at the end of every Raccoons episode from the second season until the series ended in 1991

Lisa Dawn Lougheed (/ˈlaʊhiːd/; low-heed; born September 9, 1968) is a Canadian former singer, dancer and voice actress. She is probably best known for her role as Lisa Raccoon in the animated television series The Raccoons, as well as for singing the series' various songs, including the theme song "Run with Us". As a teenager, Lougheed attended Etobicoke School of the Arts.

The remix was produced by Nigel Pegrum, the former Steeleye Span drummer. He was a part-owner of Pace Studios in Milton Keynes, UK. He is now a producer in Australia.Kevin Gillis did not know how many copies were pressed. The Raccoons was shown on the BBC in the UK and they were not allowed to promote the record as it was not on a BBC record label. There is a copy of the 12" single in the British Library archives in London.
Phenomenal (and phenomenally rare) release (12" format with, as far as I am aware, an otherwise unreleased remix). Astounding tune, bursting with nostalgia for fans of The Raccoons - an unrivalled secret weapon. Feel free to message me with questions about this release - likewise I'd be interested to hear from anyone with more info on this - why is it so hard to find? Does anybody know how many of these UK 12" releases were pressed? And also - is the Nigel Pegrum who remixed Run With Us the same from Nigel Pegrum from Steeleye Span?? Quite a departure from the folk music I would associate that Nigel Pegrum with in the late eighties if it is!In terms of the remixes, the 12" extended remix is a chopped up version of the 7" remix, with the addition of a saxophone part, as well as a brilliant power-sax solo thrown in for good measure! The 7" version is as you would remember "The Raccoons" theme tune, but with the addition of one very minor occasional synth hook on top - this is subtle, and so sounds pretty much identical to the "Evergreen Nights" original version. Also remixed by "Nigel Pegrum"
Hey mrill, I'm very interested in this version as well. Would really appreciate if you would share a .wav/.mp3 file with the song!
Hey, I'd really love to hear this too. The Racoons was my gateway drug into hi-NRG disco, not that I knew at the time lol.
Hi, do you still have the 12" that you could share with us? It would be much appreciated!:-)
Hi there, I'd really like to get a a .wav of this too if possible - been looking to do an edit of it for aaages...
