Certainly the best Beatles album- it shows every side of them. Their rocking side (the opening track, Getting Better, the reprise), their soft, melodic, beautiful side (She's Leaving Home), their experimental side (Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Fixing A Hole, Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Within You Without You, and A Day In The Life of course. and their pop side. Definitely the best album the beatles made. A cool reprise of sgt peppers lonely hearts club band. 20 Past Masters, Vol. 2. This album was released in 1988 for the box set. This one and volume 1 were created to have every song not on the original 13 albums - westofohio.

The Beatles' final album, which was actually recorded before 'Abbey Road' but released after, was mired in confusion. After the sprawling and tension-filled sessions for 'The White Album,' in which the four members basically became each other's backing bands, the Beatles secluded themselves in the studio, hoping to rekindle their passion for music and each other. It didn't work out that way. The album sat on the shelves for more than a year, until producer Phil Spector tried assembling a record from the aborted sessions

1963 - Please Please Me. 1963 - With The Beatles. 1964 - A Hard Day& Night. 1964 - Beatles For Sale. 1967 - Sgt. Pepper& Lonely Hearts Club Band. 1969 - Yellow Submarine.

Beatles For Sale (1964). Who could blame the Beatles for putting out a mediocre offering in the middle of the insanity that was Beatlemania, when the young group was under the white-hot spotlight of fame seemingly 24/7? This was an album that gathered dust for me growing up. Maybe it was all the country music influences or the darker tone on certain songs. But when I came back to it later as an adult, I realized the opening trio - No Reply, I’m a Loser, Baby’s in Black - was so much deeper than I had realized.

The White Album is the best Beatles album because it shows most fully the Beatles range of songwriting skills and influence. it's astonishing their ability to write brilliantly in so many vastly different styles. From overly lush to hauntingly sparse. From socially relevant to just silly. From anger to adulation to sadness to joy to depression to mockery to the sublime. Everyone is writing at their best (even Ringo wrote a hit!).

The Beatles may have released Let It Be last, but their final work as a band was Abbey Road. It's definitive proof that the band broke up at the absolute height of their powers. Recorded in the summer of 1969 after the torturous Let It Be sessions, The Beatles knew that Abbey Road was going to be their last effort, so they put aside their differences to craft a masterpiece. This is the first Beatles album that's entirely comprised of original material. John Lennon and Paul McCartney had grown into such strong songwriters that they no longer needed to rely on covers. 10. ‘With The Beatles’.
