A folk law hero in the USA but on the underground dance music scene, DJ Huckleberry Finn is a legend to some, a gentleman and total nice guy to others. A godfather to the music scene, that has taken his career over the last 30 years and doesn’t look like its ever stopping. His love and passion for music and for what he does is compendious, yet he still sees himself as one of the crowd and that’s why, along with his outstanding technical ability, he rocks any venue. Currently working on a solo album with music to represent the last 20 years in his house, plus his most recent project working with Lucarelli at Deep Red Studios to be released soon ever!!

After a number of adventures on and beside the river, Jim is recaptured and taken prisoner on a farm belonging to the Phelpses, who, by great good luck, are relations of Tom Sawyer’s. Huck and Tom stay with the Phelpses, and together plan to free Jim again. They help Jim to escape one night, but they are pursued and eventually Jim is recaptured. Tom then reveals that Jim is, in fact, a free man; his owner has died and freed him in her will. Huckleberry Finn is set against the background of slavery in the USA before the Civil War and emancipation. Few people in a small town like St-Petersburg would have. had any notion that slavery was immoral, and most would have been shocked that a white boy would help a slave to escape to one of the ‘free states’.

Huck arrives back at his room and sees his Pap sitting in a chair. Huck describes Pap as a filthy, poor man who used to scare him a great deal. Now, however, Huck is no longer scared of Pap, and instead notes how old his father has grown. The Question and Answer section for The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a great resource to ask questions, find answers, and discuss the novel. From what you have seen so far, how complicit is Huck with Tom’s sadism? First, I need to know exactly where you are in the text.

Readers meet Huck Finn after he's been taken in by Widow Douglas and her sister, Miss Watson, who intend to teach him religion and proper manners. Huck soon sets off on an adventure to help the widow's slave, Jim, escape up the Mississippi to the free states. By allowing Huck to tell his own story, Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn addresses America's painful contradiction of racism and segregation in a "free" and "equal" society.
