Greatest Hits is a compilation album from Black Sabbath, released by Universal in 2009. This album features only the original line-up of Black Sabbath with most of the albums Ozzy Osbourne worked on presented. This compilation features songs from 1970's self-titled debut album to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, as well as one song from Never Say Die!. This compilations used the same masters from the Universal 2009 album remasters.
Black Sabbath best-of discs continue to proliferate at alarming speed, and Castle's particular version is hopelessly outdated. The track listing is decent enough, but falls well short of a full CD's running time (it was assembled in the vinyl era) and is transferred straight from the master tapes, without any attention to mastering them for CD-quality sound.
Greatest Black Sabbath Album. The Top Ten. 1 Paranoid. Black Sabbath’s masterpiece is Master of Reality. The 1st album that Tony Iommi detuned his guitar on to give that classic Sabbath sound. While Paranoid might have more recognizable hits, Master of Reality is better start to finish. Don't just automatically pick "Paranoid" as the best Sabbath album because it has two "hits". Put on your diplomatic hat and listen to these two albums back to back. You'll see that the riffs on Master kill the riffs on the Paranoid album.

Greatest Hits 1970–1978 is a compilation album from Black Sabbath, released in 2006. This album features only the original line-up of Black Sabbath with all the albums Ozzy Osbourne worked on presented from 1970's self-titled debut album to 1978's Never Say Die!. The album debuted on the Billboar. mage: Black Sabbath Greatest Hits. The Rules of Hell is a collection of four albums by the heavy metal band Black Sabbath featuring Ronnie James Dio on vocals in remastered form.
Black Sabbath's 'Greatest Hits' is a 14 track collection of classic tracks from across the band's first eight albums, including tracks from 1970's debut through 1978's 'Never Say Die'. The album brings some of the best loved and most influential rock songs of all time together on one album, including such classics as 'Paranoid', 'Iron Man', 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath', 'War Pigs' and 'Changes'. Greatest Hits' is a must have for any self respecting music fan from the band that invented Metal.
Something like: Thou shalt not plucketh tracks from any Sabbath album past Sabotage when compiling a one-disc greatest hits collection, and thou shalt choose very carefully from both Sabotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, lest ye disenfranchise Sabbath neophytes. After all, only dedicated spelunkers are going to want to venture into the depths plumbed by Black Dio and Black Purple and Tony Iommi's Traveling Sabbath of Ebon Darkness. From the first bell toll of "Black Sabbath" until "Supernaut" fades to black 11 tracks later, the band's greatness is unmistakable. Iommi must have brought a few extra virgins to the crossroads when he met up with old Lucifer, as the leads to songs like "War Pigs", "Black Sabbath", and "Iron Man" are inescapable and eternal. That the compilers saw it fit to indiscriminately chop two minutes off of "Iron Man" is just another strike against this disc.
