The album is a historical footnote today mostly because of the clash over the nudity and then-current obscenity laws. As Bob Dylan once said, "When there's too much of nothin', nobody should look. About Flying Teapot. Gong’s third studio album was the first in its ‘Radio Gnome Invisible’ trilogy. Masterminded by frontman Daevid Allen, the trilogy features plenty of psychedelia, space prog and jazzy instrumentation. Lyrically speaking, it is an absurdist and tongue-in-cheek look at the growth of consciousness through experience and introspection. Unsurprisingly (particularly for 1973), Allen and other members of Gong were submerged in hippie culture and experimenting with drugs when this first instalment came together
Just love Gong – saw them in Bristol in 1992 – at The Beer Keller – it was so packed that I was pulled up onto the stage as I was getting squashed – lucky me!!!!! The tetragrammaton, יהוה in Hebrew and YHWH in Latin script, is the four-letter biblical name of the God of Israel. The books of the Torah and the rest of the Hebrew Bible (with the exception of Esther and Song of Songs) contain this Hebrew name. Religiously observant Jews and those who follow Talmudic Jewish traditions do not pronounce
Tell me it's over, Rusbel awaits I've been to the surface And nothing is there, Eyelids sank muffled In the nerve aura sound, But when she awakes Will she still be with us? My heart is darkclots, Leap year is late How did you get here, Ask all but the bail From a Christ that went hissing Constricting his cells We summon by candle by book and by bell. Glossolalia coats my skin Glycerin and turbulence Stuffed the voice inside God Mirrors to the animals. The sermon goes mourning, Pricking it's hail Slothful the child, That preys on the seed Shall behead.
