7 is the seventh studio album by American dream pop band Beach House, released on May 11, 2018, through Sub Pop. It follows the B-Sides and Rarities compilation album released in 2017, which served as a proverbial "cleaning out the closet" to pave the way for a new creative process.

7 by Beach House, released 11 May 2018 1. Dark Spring 2. Pay No Mind 3. Lemon Glow 4. L'Inconnue 5. Drunk in LA 6. Dive 7. Black Car 8. Lose Your Smile 9. Woo 10. Girl Of The Year 11. Last Ride 7 is our 7th full-length record. At its release, we will have been a band for over 13 years. We have now written and released a total of 77 songs together. Last year, we released an album of b-sides and rarities. It felt like a good step for us. It helped us clean the creative closet, put the past to bed, and start anew. Throughout the process of recording 7, our goal was rebirth and rejuvenation. easily their best and one of my favourite albums of 2018.

Beach House remain masters of the indefinable and their seventh album is their heaviest and most immersive-sounding of their career. The album brought their catalog to 77 songs, and the record’s initial issue number was 777. What did all this mystical numerology amount to when you squinted at it? Nothing of course, except to set the stage, light the incense. It’s the magician’s pre-trick pantomime, where he turns up his palms and rolls up his sleeves, for no other purpose than to make you lean in closer and grin harder. We spend a lot of time creatively making mountains out of nothingness, Scally added. Inducing indefinable yearnings, tracing patterns in the air-this is the essence of Beach House’s art.

Beach House - 7 (2018). Started by Lord Kingdom, April 27, 2018. 12 posts in this topic. Really excited for this album, and i'm going to their concert in a few days too but I'm going to wait this one out at least until there's a 320. Probably would make the concert better too if they do new songs.

While Beach House's sound has always focused on hypnotic melodies and Victoria Legrand's rich vocals - and likely always will - they've found different ways to explore this potent combination on each album. If possible, they're even more committed to change on their aptly named seventh album

Beach House have released their seventh studio album, fittingly titled 7, and it's yet another terrific record. They are a band who have developed a truly signature sound, and yet with each subsequent album, they shift into different and exciting gradients. They have maintained a uniform standard of excellence across their catalog, which means that determining a "best" album seems like a needless exercise. It's funny, then, that the release of 7 is not only their seventh album, but also brings their overall tally of released songs to 77. Whether you have an intimate knowledge of all their songs to this point, or this is your very first time dipping your toes into the water of their music, 7 is yet another affirmation that when we listen to Beach House, we are standing in the presence of giants. Songs for sleep are among the most difficult to make. Ambient is the easiest to doze off to, but some dreams are best cushioned by pop music, the kind that’s so recognizable and well-worn that it practically lives in your subconscious. Like a lullaby someone sang you when you were young, the type of song designed to arrest your mind and put you under. For years, Beach House have given us that music. Theirs is a dreamy kind of pop, music that sounds as if it could soundtrack the surreal and twisted fantasies we enact while we’re most unaware

Shliffiana
Great album and a wonderful warmth to the pressing, sadly the second side has considerably more crackles than the first that is particularly noticeable during the sublime Black Car
Dyni
my copy has few medium-loud pops at the beginning of Black Car, the rest of the record plays great
