In the evening, Erebos' wife Nyx drew Erebos' darkness across the sky bringing night and his daughter Hemera (Day) scattered it at dawn bringing day-the first obscuring Aither (Aether, Light), the heavenly light of the ether, the second revealing it. The name Erebos was also used as a synonym for the netherworld realm of Haides. NYX was the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods who emerged as the dawn of creation. She was a child of Khaos (Chaos, Air), and coupling with Erebos she produced Aither and Hemera.
Erebos is the seventh studio album by Polish band Hate. It was released on November 15, 2010, through Listenable Records. The album was recorded between Julay and August 2010 at Hertz Studio in Białystok, Poland, and was produced by Adam "ATF Sinner" Buszko and Krzysztof "Kris" Wawrzak. A video was shot for the title song, which was directed by Sławomir Makowski. Adam "ATF Sinner" Buszko – guitars, vocals. Konrad "Destroyer" Ramotowski – guitars. Stanisław "Hexen" Malanowicz – drums.
Nyx lived in Tartarus with her daughter Hemera. During the day, Nyx would leave Tartarus (while Hemera was returning) and fly up out of the Underworld and bring Erebos together making it night time. When Nyx came back to Tartarus, Hemera left and scattered Erebus thus, revealing Aether and making it day. Later Eos the goddess of dawn came along and gave them a break. After that when Hemera arrived, Eos would leave then Nyx would leave. Powers & Abilities. Nyx was a very powerful Protogenoi Deity, so much as to incur fear in Zeus himself as he didn't want to make her angry.
NYX was the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods (protogenoi) who emerged as the dawn of creation. She was a child of Khaos (Chaos, Air), and coupling with Erebos (Darkness) she produced Aither (Aether, Light) and Hemera (Day). Alone she spawned a brood of dark spirits including the three Fates, Sleep, Death, Strife and Pain. Nyx was an ancient deity usually envisaged as the very substance of the night-a veil of dark mists drawn across the sky to obscure the light of Aither, the shining blue of the heavens
With Erebus (Darkness), Nyx gives birth to Aether (Brightness) and Hemera (Day). Later, on her own, Nyx gives birth to Moros (Doom, Destiny), Ker (Fate, Destruction, Death), Thanatos (Death), Hypnos (Sleep), the Oneiroi (Dreams), Momus (Blame), Oizys (Woe, Pain, Distress), the Hesperides (Evening, Sunset), the Moirai (Fates), the Keres, Nemesis (Indignation, Retribution), Apate (Deceit) In the cosmogony of Hesiod she was born of Air (Khaos), and breeding with Darkness (Erebos) produced Light (Aither) and Day (Hemera), firs.
