Part 3 of 5 to be released over the coming couple of months. Originally released on the Phono label in 1995/96 the ‘Parts’ series from Matthew Herbert are a much loved collection of house tracks that sound just as original and bold today as they did when they were first released. This series of 12 s were part of an early wave of exploratory dance music that paved the way for the deep house that still works its magic on dance-floors in 2018 some 25 years later. The mix of Herbert’s playfulness alongside expertly grooving production and unusual sounds makes this unique collection of work. Titel: Reissues Part 3. Label: Accidental Jnr.

It's time for your regular reminder that, through every guise, scheme, political or artistic statement Matthew Herbert has gone through, he has never released a record short of exceptional. This 23 year old reissue of one of his earliest EPs is proof. Bumping with UKG roots, soul oozes from every spacious, loose-limbed groove, these are glimpses into Herbert's soul; the off-beat Zed Bias style mischief of "Rude", the cosmic faze of "Oo Licky" and the dreamy Iz & Diz style jounces of "See You On Monday", this is every bit the timeless record

Wire have announced deluxe reissues of their first three albums. On June 22, the legendary post-punk band will release 1977′s Pink Flag, 1978′s Chairs Missing and 1979′s 154 as two- and three-disc expanded versions, featuring rare and unreleased tracks, via their own Pink Flag label. All three albums have been remastered, and some of the bonus material, according to a press release, is being mastered for the first time.
