Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra (also known as Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E Flat Minor O. ) is the eleventh studio album by guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, released on 30 June 1998 through Spitfire Records. The album was Malmsteen's first attempt at a classical concerto suite featuring electric guitar solos. All of the music was composed by Malmsteen, though his compositions were scored by his friend and fellow musician David Rosenthal

An album may be recorded in a recording studio (fixed or mobile), in a concert venue, at home, in the field, or a mix of places. The time frame for completely recording an album varies between a few hours to several years. This process usually requires several takes with different parts recorded separately, and then brought or "mixed" together. Recordings that are done in one take without overdubbing are termed "live", even when done in a studio. Album covers and liner notes are used, and sometimes additional information is provided, such as analysis of the recording, and lyrics or librettos. Historically, the term "album" was applied to a collection of various items housed in a book format. An album (Latin albus, white), in ancient Rome, was a board chalked or painted white, on which decrees, edicts and other public notices were inscribed in black.

Channel separation in the A-B Stereo technique is determined by the distance between the microphones. Compromises have to be made so that the orchestra sounds natural with a proper stereo width. Normally the spacing is adjusted between 40 and 60 cm. Some producers favour greater spacings of between 1 and . meters and sometimes more, but in these cases a hole will start to appear in the middle of the stereo image. The stereo image is checked in the control room, where individual sections of the orchestra can be fine-tuned by adjusting the angle of the microphones. The spatial qualities of these microphones can be used to brighten up the sections or to give them lower priority in the recording.
