534 is the fourth studio album by rapper Memphis Bleek. It was released by Get Low Records, Roc-A-Fella Records, and Def Jam Recordings on May 17, 2005. The album contains 14 songs, including the hit single "Like That" produced by Swizz Beatz. A single by Bleek's mentor and childhood friend Jay-Z entitled "Dear Summer" was produced by Just Blaze. Other guests include Young Gunz, . and the first ever appearance from Rihanna.

I can't fault the production on this album, but I don't feel anything when I listen to it. Lyrically it's just bland and generic. MOP is a surprise collab, but they don't really raise the bar. It also has Rihanna doing her "Carribean style" sweet lyrics, before she went dark. Reply Notify me Helpful.

534, his fourth album, is true to form, starting off like one of the shakiest Roc-a-Fella releases. In fact, the low expectations are nearly dashed within ten minutes. The opening track, for all its action-packed Frank Stallone bombast, opens the door with a key instead of a battering ram. Things then get flat-out bizarre: a brief interlude, lifted from an obscure folk artist (Lisa Koch, known for a song titled "Beaver Cleaver Fever"), sets up "Dear Summer" - a (decent) Jay-Z feature with no other MCs present.

Memphis Bleek is, like Game, a derivative, artless MC with enormous resources, but he doesn't have a great album in him. Memphis Bleek has released four forgettable albums on Roc-A-Fella records while stronger artists like . and Ol' Dirty Bastard moldered on the shelf. His greatest track and only hit remains "Is That Yo Bitch?", a song Jay-Z scrapped from his Vol. 3 album, and one that features Jigga and Missy Elliott in starring roles. 534 features A-list producers such as Just Blaze and 9th Wonder, but Bleek rarely holds up his part of the track. His voice sounds OK over the exploding drums and surging horns of Swizz Beatz' club banger "Like That", but he derails the track with his staggeringly lame party-rap lyrics ("Slow motion for me, like ya ass was screwed up, Make you move like The Matrix when dude was ducking slugs/ Bleek the Black Sheep, mami, now pick it up".

It also has Rihanna doing her "Carribean style" sweet lyrics, before she went dark. The album is well worth a few listens and buying if it's cheap, but it's nothing special.
